It started with the balancing act.
I'm Steve. Rested started in Sydney while I was juggling a demanding career and twin boys, in the season where sleep is the first thing to go. I knew the feeling I was missing: the clear, steady, ready-for-anything one you get after a genuinely good night. When you have it, everything is easier. When you don't, everything is harder.
The sleep industry is full of miracle promises, and running on four hours, I tried plenty of them. What actually helped wasn't a miracle. It was removing friction: a bedtime that ran itself for the boys, a wind-down that told my own body the day was over, proper dark. So that's what I build. It began with one device for our house, with stories we couldn't find anywhere else. Now it's a range for the whole house, with the skincare made here in Sydney.
